Free video player

PotPlayer is a free mobile video player application developed by Creator IND for Android devices. It is a multimedia tool that provides a realistic audio-visual experience. It is capable of giving both of the best worlds—high-quality videos and audio. On top of that, a wide range of video file formats is supported by this app such as AVI, MP4, WMV, RMVB, MKV, M4V, MPG, FLV, and many others.

While there are plenty of third-party media players, such as VLC and KMPlayer, not a single one comes close to offering as many features as PotPlayer. It ensures your videos look and sound their best with numerous effects, filters, and advanced settings that are easily accessible through a simple right-click in the minimalist, yet comprehensive, main window.

Smart and handy player

To be able to produce top-quality sound effects that will make you feel like you are watching in an actual cinema hall, Potplayer provides you with a wide range of audio tools that you can freely customize and tune to your liking. To name a few, equalizer, bass booster, and even enabling stereo surround sound settings are some of the audio tools at your disposal that you can configure here.

On the other hand, this lightweight utility app ensures speed and effectiveness while you play your video files, as well. This player has been optimized for efficiency and you will have no issues playing videos in better and smoother quality. When you slide your video screen, more video options will appear for you to personalize and provide you with various on-screen controls during video playback. This includes volume, screen brightness, and video progress.

With the use of video folders, you will be able to sort the videos in your library into categories for easier access and organization. While in your music library section, categories are already set as determined by the media player itself. There are a total of 4 classification types to browse through—Audio, Artists, Albums, and Genres. Expect to access music data and any other related information under these major tabs.

What’s new?

NVIDIA RTX graphics card users are in for a treat with the latest update to Kakao’s PotPlayer. The present version available for download now provides NVIDIA RTX Video HDR support, allowing you to experience high-definition viewing, even for low-quality videos. The video upscaling technology uses AI and RTX Tensor Cores to improve video quality, including sharpness and clarity, by remapping SDR video content to HDR10 quality video.

In addition to the new video technology support, the update also includes a drag-and-drop functionality that lets you move files around when creating playlists. This means it is now more convenient to handle multiple video files and to organize them into playlists for uninterrupted viewing. Rounding out the update are bug fixes that address common playback issues encountered across various file formats, such as WAV, MPEG4, WMV, and specific codecs.

Quality doesn't cost, it pays

PotPlayer is living proof that mobile video players don't always have to be paid just to experience an immersive viewing experience with surround sound effects that almost feel like you are watching in an actual cinema hall. This multimedia player is an efficient and highly secured video player that you can even set passwords for your confidential videos and audio.
